A trading edge has more than one direction

ORCL and ADBE sharpened the reversal model while onboarding and platform expansion were placed behind core product validation.

My EDGETrading lessonsVWAPOnboardingRoadmap

The day’s trading discussions sharpened an important requirement for My EDGE: reversal logic needs to describe the setup’s direction and confirmation, rather than assume that an earnings opportunity is a long.

Better Late and Right
Than Early and Wrong

The same reference can matter on either side

The ORCL review focused on a short-side return toward prior-day VWAP and a subsequent underside retest.

The product lesson is to preserve direction, reference level, confirmation, and invalidation together when describing an opportunity.

A later setup can be a new trade

The ADBE discussion reinforced “Better Late and Right Than Early and Wrong.” When an early opportunity ends and no clean re-entry exists, patience can allow a more mature structure to form.

A later confirmed setup deserves its own evaluation. It is not a reason to chase an absent setup.

Introduce through the instrument itself

A proposed onboarding walkthrough follows the intro into the Event Horizon and then introduces NOW, NEXT, and schedule navigation.

The golden black-hole mark would become the session-colored NOW instrument. This is a deferred specification, with the existing opening warning ring preserved.

Expand platforms after the core experience matures

Windows and XENEON/iCUE exploration remains on the roadmap.

The priority is still Candle reliability, economic-data quality, the current UI work, and the My NOWEDGE earnings-reversal process.

WHAT WE LEARNED

Describe the setup that exists, in the direction it exists.

  • Earnings-reversal logic must be direction-aware.
  • A later confirmed entry can carry less uncertainty than an early anticipatory one.
  • Product expansion should follow dependable core behavior.
NEXT

Turn trading lessons into testable product rules.

  1. Carry the ORCL and ADBE lessons into setup specifications and test scenarios.
  2. Advance the core validation work before onboarding and Windows development resume.
