A name for the shape of the trading day

The Event Horizon becomes the organizing idea for NOW, NEXT, the session timeline, and the market events approaching beyond it.

The timeline beneath the main clock has a clearer name: the Event Horizon. It connects the current moment to the next important event, the remainder of the session, and the market days ahead.

Not just a countdown.
Not just a clock.
Not just a calendar.

Focus the Event Horizon on what matters

The name covers session progress, NOW/NEXT/THEN, and the event columns extending to the right.

The surfaced view should emphasize market-moving events, meaningful milestones, and scheduled earnings. Secondary warnings and ordinary reminders belong in expanded views unless they become the immediate NOW or NEXT item.

Keep the opening ring

The existing ring clock during THE OPEN remains part of the direction.

Its value is immediate: it makes the first minutes of regular trading recognizable as a period requiring extra attention.

Connect the brand to the instrument

Black-hole and event-horizon imagery opened a new visual direction for the NOWEDGE mark.

Blue and orange VWAP strands became part of the animation discussion, linking the brand treatment to the price references used inside the product.

WHAT WE LEARNED

The product becomes easier to explain and edit.

  • A useful name needs a precise product meaning.
  • The Event Horizon connects time, session context, and approaching events.
  • A shared organizing idea helps decide what belongs in the main view.
NEXT

Make the visual metaphor serve the instrument.

  1. Refine the animation and layout.
  2. Preserve the opening ring and the hierarchy of surfaced events.
