Give My EDGE room to grow

An expandable workspace for richer EDGE content, a manual picks experiment, and a revised visual direction for the VWAP vortex.

My EDGENavigationContent ingestionAnimation

With two categories of EDGE content to accommodate, the narrow column needs more room. The next UI direction is to let the workspace expand while keeping NOW visible.

Expand from EDGE toward NOW

The first expansion state would use the Candle area up to the central NOW view. A wider state could extend farther across the surface, with NOW remaining visible at the right.

The interaction should leave room for additional EDGE categories over time.

Start the picks workflow with a manual input

The Glick’s Picks discussion proposed a simple initial test: paste the supplied morning email into the workflow, surface relevant content in EDGE, and evaluate an audible notification.

This establishes the experiment; it does not establish a completed email automation.

Revise the VWAP animation

The blue and orange strands should behave like material caught in an extended gravitational field. A gold-toned sheath would surround them, and a visible gap would keep the vortex from touching the black hole.

The revised sequence calls for the full vortex to fade into view before transitioning toward the dashboard.

WHAT WE LEARNED

Keep NOW visible while the workspace expands.

  • More content needs a deliberate navigation model.
  • Expansion should let the trader inspect details while preserving the central time context.
NEXT

Test the interactions before adding more content.

  1. Prototype the two expansion states.
  2. Test the manual picks workflow.
  3. Review the animation against the revised vortex brief.
