The QQQ Candle refinement cycle reached an accepted state. The work clarified which references belong to the completed Prior Day, which belong to Today, and how the display should communicate durable structure without losing exact price relationships.
Make new highs and lows durable milestones
A new session high or low is no longer disposable. The most recent milestone remains visible after price moves away, updates only on a genuine new extreme, and clears when the session rolls over.
Separate structural state from transition events
The Candle distinguishes persistent context—above the prior-day high, inside the prior-day range, or below the prior-day low—from the moment price crosses a boundary.
Give references different visual grammar
Prior Day-owned levels continue as dotted inherited references. Today-owned VWAP and open references use solid current-session lines. Current price remains distinct from both.
Share the XENEON with the Clock
The first combined-layout experiment reserved roughly 900 pixels for the Candle, a 24-pixel gap, and 1,636 pixels for the Trading Clock. It was a starting hypothesis, not a permanent commitment.
Use visual grammar to explain ownership before labels do.
- Visual ownership reduces explanation.
- Labels may move for legibility; exact market anchors may not.
- A smaller Candle can create space without becoming a miniature chart.
Make room for time without weakening price context.
- Prototype the combined layout.
- Finish the active-event model path.
- Preserve the stable checkpoint until a later release boundary is accepted.
