Turn the clock into an awareness system

Pre-open positioning, stable NOW/NEXT behavior, VWAP reconstruction, and a wider catalyst horizon give market time practical meaning.

NOW/NEXTTimingVWAPEvent HorizonCalendar

The Clock became more deliberate about attention. Instead of treating every premarket minute alike, NOWEDGE began separating the market’s session, the broker’s availability, and the moments when the trader needs to prepare.

Introduce pre-open positioning

Premarket remains the structural session, but a distinct pre-open positioning context begins around 6:00 AM Pacific.

The model separates market-data premarket, broker availability, and the final preparation window before the bell.

Make the lockout impossible to misread

The final warning remains amber before transitioning to a stronger red TOS Lockout state. The title becomes a live countdown while urgency increases without changing geometry.

Keep NOW and NEXT spatially stable

The redundant upper treatment was removed. Event titles and countdowns stay anchored inside their cards, with fixed-width digits and no text morphing between NOW and NEXT.

Reconstruct today’s VWAP after launch

Today 1D VWAP can be rebuilt from delayed intraday data during regular trading hours. A cold launch no longer requires the application to have run continuously since the open.

WHAT WE LEARNED

Translate market time into the trader’s actual workflow.

  • Premarket, preparation, and lockout describe different responsibilities.
  • Timing surfaces feel trustworthy when labels stay spatially anchored.
  • The Clock is becoming an awareness system rather than a wall clock.
NEXT

Test every transition as one instrument.

  1. Validate the transitions around the open.
  2. Improve catalyst data quality.
  3. Confirm Candle truthfulness through live-session changes.
