Design for the physical ribbon

At roughly 37 inches wide and 6.5 inches tall, the XENEON becomes a horizontal information architecture—not a small monitor.

The physical display clarified the product. At approximately 37 inches wide and only 6.5 inches tall, the XENEON EDGE is an ultra-wide information ribbon.

Compose horizontally

The interface should read from left to right as a sequence of related instruments rather than stack ordinary dashboard panels into a shallow canvas.

Give the Candle the largest field

The first direction gives the Prior Day / Today Candle comparison the majority of the strip, followed by time and session context, then upcoming events and compact controls.

WHAT WE LEARNED

Treat the display as an object, not a viewport.

  • The hardware determines the information architecture.
  • The XENEON’s unusual proportions are a product advantage when the interface is designed for them.
NEXT

Find the right horizontal balance.

  1. Measure the Candle’s minimum practical width.
  2. Reserve space for a future time-and-event instrument.
